ERICH GUTENBERG'S BUSINESS COLLEGE IN COLOGNE IS COMPLETED
12 April 2014

Our task was to complete an energy efficient facade redevelopment. The technical and structural principles of the first construction section should also be appliable for the auditorium, the administration, the canteen as well as the sportshall to later create a homogeneous image. Of course, the economic aspect had to be considered as well, which afterwards influenced the choice of material. Correspondingly, ETICS and clinker quarter bricks were chosen for the wall cladding.
LEMPERTZ AUCTION HOUSE IN BRUSSELS IS COMPLETED
12 July 2014

Lempertz deals and exhibits ancient and modern art, so to express this significance with architecture means, we decided to add a modern piece of space to the historical building.
After studying the architecture of the building, it was clear that we could only add an annex in the rear part of the building as a roof extension, which could be disconnected at any time.
The main construction is a Vierndeel steel truss, which spans 14 m and fixed to the neighbor walls. The design is generated from the spatial character of the steep roof of the old building to obtain a correlation between the old and new spaces.
CLOUD2 IN COLOGNE IS COMPLETED
05 April 2012

cloud2 represents flexible room designs. It is customized to the client's requests - living areas for the second period of life without children were created, which integrate the charm of a historical building into a new construction.
The project combines two contrary basic needs of humanity. On one side the extrovert, that strives for liberty and the life in the nature and on the other side the introvert, which yearns for the feeling of security and contemplation.
The draft combines two iconic layout-typologies - Adolf Loos' floor plans and Le Corbusier's plan Libre.
